Who I Am...







My name is Tasha, and welcome to my journal. I'm originally from a small town in Westchester County, New York, but I currently reside in Richmond, Virginia. I'm a shy girl who is good at pretending at being outspoken and not caring about what people think about her. I'm trying to break away from this. I like bars and clubs in small doses, but I'd much rather spend my time in a museum admiring art, wandering in and out of mom and pop shops, or at a park reading under a tree. I enjoy learning about different cultures and threading throughout my own existence. I am a Bohemian, a career woman, a life artist, a fighter, and a lover. I'm still in the process of "finding" myself and becoming more comfortable with these different facets. Because of this, you may find my entries to go from incredibly cheerful to dark and depressed. Lately a lot of my entries have become friends-only, so the deeper stuff is on lockdown.

What I Do...







Creativity is what drives me. I have Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. I've been painting and drawing since I was a child. The feeling I get when I create takes me to a different world, which is where the "Purple Mist" persona came from. That quiet moment between day and night, when the sky is hazy and melted pastel colors dance through the horizon. I have a website called Purple Mist Art, which is not only a freelancing site, but just a creative outlet for me, exploding on the internet. My ultimate dream is to live completely by art, because honestly, I couldn't live any other way.


The Man...







This is my husband, Chris. We got married on July 14th, 2007 after being together for nearly a decade, and we have grown in so many ways. After four years being on opposite ends of the state while I was in college, three years being in separate counties doing the weekend thing, and one tumultuous move to a crappy neighborhood, we finally made the decision to move to Richmond together, and it was the best decision we could have ever made. He is my life, my love and my best friend and I can't picture my life without him.


The Best Friend...







Christina, the girl who showed me the true meaning of friendship. We met freshman year of college and no amount of distance or time has seperated us. Our personalities are so alike it is crazy, and we connect on so many levels. Every friend that has come after her has to meet the bar she has set, and even some old friends too, who turned out not to be too good friends after all. I love her to death and I hope we will be friends forever.

To Be My Friend..

If you're still reading at this point and you want me to friend you, I have a few stipulations. I would love to get to know people who are in the similar life path that I'm on. Who are trying to discover who they are and build their lives. People in monogamous relationships and committed to make the love last. Single people who believe in true love, whether they have been blessed by it, stung by it, or never have experienced it. Other beautiful plussized women and the men who love them, for I strongly believe that beauty and sexiness comes in all sizes. Fellow artists are always welcome, I love creative people. Basically, people who I can connect with. Don't add me if you're just looking to build up your Friend's List. Don't add me if you never update your journal. I would prefer that if you're under the age of 20 that you don't add me, because a couple of my entries have some pretty adult themes, and I really don't know how much I can have in common with someone who is nearly 10 years younger than me. And PLEASE don't add me without telling me who you are...huge pet peeve of mine. Any type of negativity brought my journal will not be tolerated, and you will be banned. Other than that...enjoy the journey.
